Series Resonant Converter-based Unified Power Quality Conditioner Using Fuzzy Controller

Conference paper
Part of the Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing book series (AISC, volume 325)

The improvisation of power quality at grid is widely done by one of the custom power device, i.e., unified power quality conditioner (UPQC). This paper presents a three-phase unified power quality conditioner based on fuzzy controlled resonant converters, which has the capability to obtain a good transient current response and voltage response. The fuzzy logic controller is used to control the resonant converter. The simulation results based on MATLAB/Simulink are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed UPQC based on resonant converter. The obtained result has been compared to other topologies which were proposed earlier.
