Abstract

Steganography is a technique of invisible communication through multimedia objects. This paper provides a technique to hide secret messages using a unique mapping technique in discrete wavelet domain (DWT) of an image. In the proposed method, red, green, and blue channels of cover image are taken to apply DWT method. Secret message are hidden only in the vertical and diagonal coefficients of cover channel because these coefficients are less sensitive to human eyes. The reason of using frequency domain technique is to provide higher level of security. Visual difference is null between the cover and stego images. Experimental result shows that the proposed method gives good peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and low MSE.
