Development of Control System of Wheel Type Backhoe Loader

Abstract

The control system of wheel type backhoe loader plays an important role in its operations. In order to enhance the reliability and efficiency of corresponding construction machine, a variety of field control bus, for example, CAN bus, LIN bus, and KWP2000 bus, are widely applied in this field. In this paper, the CAN bus technology is applied in the control system of wheel type backhoe loader. Its features are explored. The designing scheme of typical control system is introduced. Therefore, the architecture of the control system of wheel type backhoe loader using CAN bus technology is constructed. The control principles and functions of loading and excavating operation as well as failure alarm scenario of wheel type backhoe loader are analyzed. Then, the characteristics of the control system of wheel type backhoe loader are illustrated. Finally, the practical implementation of CAN bus control system in wheel type backhoe loader is carried out.
