Abstract
In June 1989, 52 delegates from 15 nations attended the third Meeting of the Leeds Castle Polyposis Group at Worcestershire, UK. Discussions ranged from basic molecular biology to the importance of collaboration among worldwide registries. A highlight of the meeting was review of worldwide progress in molecular probes of specific genetic aberrations in patients with FAP. The development of registry interchange and central coordination provided a second major focus of the meeting. The fourth meeting will be held in the United States in 1991. Interim goals include development of predictive biomarkers and better control and management of periampullar neoplasia.
