Abstract
The intraoperative histologic diagnosis on conventional rapid frozen sections is very helpful in deciding the area to be resected during the operation of a brain tumor. However, the inadequately conserved construction of frozen tissues sometimes makes the histological diagnosis difficult. Therefore, the development of new convenient methods that can assist the rapid diagnosis of brain tumors and the estimation of their proliferative potential, even during surgery, is needed.
