Abstract
The paper presented here introduces a computer painting system which draws Chinese traditional painting by controlling real brush pens on “Xuan” paper, a kind of paper specially used for drawing Chinese painting. An additive device is fixed on a plotter for holding the brush pen to draw strokes, Basic strokes are generated to compose complex pictures. And realizing skills of Chinese painting by a computer is discussed. Some paintings drawn by the system are shown here.
