Abstract

The CTRON file management is a functional block of the extended operating system layer in CTRON. It prescribes interfaces used in common in various application fields and assures the portability of the upper-layer software. It provides two kinds of files: an ordinary file and a device file. It provides two kinds of file organization: a basic organization and an indexed sequential organization. It controls file location by means of a tree-structured directory. This paper describes these features of the CTRON file management.
