Abstract
We examine the role of quasiparticles in ac properties of layered superconductors placed in a parallel dc magnetic field at finite temperatures assuming unconventional pairing symmetry of the superconducting order parameter. We find that the quasiparticle component may be responsible for anomalies in observable characteristics, e.g., plasma frequency or ac penetration length.
