Abstract
We have studied differences of electrical transports, magnetic properties and crystal structures between superconducting Prl23 single crystals and nonsuperconducting crystals. We synthesized Prl23 polycrystals under low partial pressure of oxygen. These samples show nearly metallic temperature dependence of resistivity. We suggest that in Prl23 crystals, atomic disordering and/or deficiencies influence on electrical transport property and cause insulating behaviour, so the disordering of Pr and Ba is important to suppression of superconductivity in Prl23 compounds.
