Optimizing the Efficiency of Recipient Area Estimation

Abstract

The recipient area estimation is an important variable when assessing a hair transplant patient. It guides planning the current surgery session and also for any future surgery sessions. In the past, a variety of tools and techniques have been proposed. In 2010, this author with Pathomvanich refined the available Chang’s method and proposed it as a methodology. These suggested series of steps when followed carefully ensure the area estimation becomes valid, precise, and reproducible at all the times.
