Abstract

YBa\(_2\)Cu\(_3\)O\(_y\) system is one of the cuprate families, where significant amounts of study on the c-axis properties were presented. In this study, we extended the energy region (both lower and higher energy region), and decrease the temperature steps for measurement; therefore, we could make a more precise discussion on the observed properties. In this section, I will give some general insight to the observed optical properties of YBa\(_2\)Cu\(_3\)O\(_y\) and Zn-substitution effects with the comparison to the other studies. In the later sections, more detailed discussion on the observed properties with new observations will be given.
