Auszug
Mehrfachgründer, so genannte Habitual Founders, werden von der bisherigen Gründungsforschung —insbesondere im deutschsprachigen Raum —nur wenig beachtet, obwohl sich zahlreiche wissenschaftlich interessante und praktisch relevante Fragen stellen: Wodurch lassen sich Mehrfachgründer charakterisieren? Wie lässt sich eine wiederholte Gründungsaktivität erklären? Welche besonderen Merkmale weist eine zweite oder dritte Gründung auf? Planen Mehrfachgründer häufiger oder besser? Sind Mehrfachgründer —u.a. aufgrund von Erfahrungen oder Netzwerken —erfolgreicher als Einmalgründer? Die internationale Literatur kann zwar seit längerer Zeit einige darauf bezogene und zum Teil auch empirische Arbeiten dazu vorweisen (u.a. Westhead/Ucbasaran/Wright 2005; Carter/Ram 2003; Rosa/Scott 1999; Westhead/Wright 1998; Alsos/Kolvereid 1998; Schollhammer 1991; Donckels/Dupont 1987). Allerdings wirken die Erkenntnisse bezüglich der Mehrfachgründer bisher nur bruchstückhaft und es mangelt an einer einheitlichen Theoriebildung.
