Indien und China hatten um 1820 zusammen einen geschätzten Anteil am weltweiten Bruttoinlandsprodukt von 48% Prozent.1 Im Jahr 1952 lag dieser Anteil bei nur noch 9%. Bis 2050 sollen nach einer Prognose von PricewaterhouseCoopers sowohl China als auch Indien wieder zu den vier größten Weltwirtschaften gehören.
