Unternehmen zeigen — ähnlich wie Menschen — Verhalten. Es ist also durchaus plausibel, dass in der Wahrnehmung verschiedener Bezugsgruppen wie Kunden, Mitarbeitern oder Investoren eine von allen weitestgehend geteilte Vorstellung zur Persönlichkeit eines Unternehmens entsteht. Beinahe jeder hat eine Vorstellung davon, ob BMW innovativ, die Deutsche Bank zuverlässig ist oder bestimmte Unternehmensberatungen motiviert sind. Hier soll das Konstrukt der Unternehmenspersönlichkeit empirisch betrachtet werden. Dabei wird der gegenwärtige Stand der Forschung zusammengefasst und ein neues, deutschsprachiges Instrument vorgestellt.
