Zusammenfassung
Während eine zweidimensionale Häufigkeitstabelle bei nominalskalierten Merkmalen stets die Basis einer Zusammenhangsanalyse darstellt, würde bei quantitativen Merkmalen hierdurch häufig keine Übersichtlichkeit erreicht werden, da oftmals zu viele Merkmalskombinationen zu bilden wären. Sofern quantitative Daten nicht unmittelbar in klassierter Form vorliegen, bietet sich eine Visualisierung der gemeinsamen Variation zweier Merkmale in einem Koordinatensystem (Streuungsdiagramm) an.
