Die bisher vorgestellten Strategien des Energiemanagements zielen auf eine Mobilisierung von Unternehmen ab und führen sie aus der angenehmen oder frustrierten Trägheit in den Zustand produktiver Energie. Hebel der Fokussierung tragen darüber hinaus dafür Rechnung, dass die einmal aktivierten Kraftreserven tatsächlich konstruktiv im Unternehmen genutzt werden. Eine weitere wesentliche Aufgabe liegt in der Handhabung von korrosiver Energie. Korrosive Energie liegt vor, wenn Unternehmen im Gegensatz zur Trägheit zwar ein hohes Maß an Aktivität, Wachheit und emotionaler Involviertheit aufweisen, diese intensive Energie des Unternehmens jedoch negativ ausgerichtet ist und unternehmensschädlich genutzt wird. Die aktivierten Kraftreserven des Unternehmens werden nicht konstruktiv zur Lösung gemeinsamer Probleme eingesetzt, sondern destruktiv nach innen gerichtet (siehe Abschnitt 3.4).
