Abstract
In this third chapter, a rigorous literature review will give a comprehensive and structured overview of the status of family firm performance research and identifies as well discusses potential deficiencies in this research stream. The review is guided by the research problem of inconclusive findings regarding the effect of family influence on firm performance.
