Abstrakt

Open Innovation, definiert als strategische Öffnung des Innovationsprozesses und planvolle Einbindung der Unternehmensumwelt, hat sich in den vergangenen fast zehn Jahren als fester Bestandteil im Innovationsmanagement etabliert. Manager beziehen Open Innovation-Methoden in ihre strategischen Überlegungen ein und Wissenschaftler erforschen diesen voranschreitenden Trend in den Unternehmen, was wiederum die tatsächliche oder vermeintliche Attraktivität von, in jedem Fall aber die Aufmerksamkeit für Open Innovation erhöht. Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es – basierend auf einer detaillierten Literaturanalyse – Entwicklung und Bedeutung von Open Innovation darzustellen.
