Zusammenfassung
Die Analyse von Aktienkursen ist von hohem praktischen und wissenschaftlichen Interesse. Vor allem interessieren Aussagen über die künftige Entwicklung von Kursen und Kursindizes. Klassische Methoden zur Prognose von Aktienkursen sind die Technische Analyse und die Fundamentalanalyse. Im Rahmen der Fundamentalanalyse wird versucht, eine Kursprognose auf Basis „erklärender“ Variablen wie Unternehmensdaten (z. B. Bilanzen), Daten aus dem Unternehmensumfeld (z. B. Branchendaten) oder makroökonomischen Daten (z. B. Inflationsrate) abzuleiten. Bei der Technischen Analyse in seiner ursprünglichen Form (der Chartanalyse) geht es um die Erkennung von Mustern (Gesetzmäßigkeiten) in den beobachteten Kursverläufen selbst, ohne Berücksichtigung externer Einflussfaktoren.
