Abstract
The Materna group is one of the leading independent service providers in Europe's information and technology sector. The company was founded as a university spin-off company by Dr. Winfried Materna and Helmut an de Meulen at Dortmund, Germany, in 1980. Both are managing partners at Materna and have been instrumental in the success of the company. In 2009, Materna employed approximately 1,300 employees across Europe and achieved a turnover of EUR 153 millions. The company stands for state of the art information and communications technology solutions, supplying innovative products and services to companies in the private and public sector. Their offers include comprehensive solutions as well as partial, module-based solutions.
