Örtliche, regionale und überregionale Netzwerke sind grundlegende Voraussetzungen für ein dynamisches Umfeld, unabhängig davon, ob es sich – wie von Montesquieu vor mehr als 280 Jahren beschrieben – um Cafés oder um Berufsverbände und andere Struk turen handelt. Sie bieten eine ausgezeichnete Möglichkeit, um Informationen innerhalb eines bestimmten Gebietes weiterzugeben und um jene ausserhalb dieses Gebietes aus findig zu machen, zu sortieren und zu sammeln. Netzwerke fungieren für Unternehmen im Wesentlichen als Verbreiter und Verstärker von Informationen.
