Zusammenfassung

Three decades of unabated growth have made China one of the world’s economic powerhouses and set off an expansion in the country’s transportation sector that is unique in modern economic history. Urbanization and industrialization have caused a significant increase in mobility needs and road vehicles to accommodate them. Supported by substantial improvements in incomes and living standards, the vehicle population quadrupled between 2001 and 2010 to reach 78 million [10].
