Zusammenfassung
Im Vordergrund stehen in diesem Kapitel die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten, die Händler zum Abschluss ihrer Geschäfte nutzen. Neben dem bilateralen Handel und der Zusammenarbeit mit Brokern etablieren sich zunehmend elektronische Handelssysteme und Plattformen, deren bekannteste exemplarisch dargestellt werden. In Verbindung mit einem elektronischen Handelssystem wird häufig ein Zentraler Kontrahent (auch CCP) genutzt; dies ist ein weiterer Schwerpunkt in diesem Kapitel. Des Weiteren wird auf die Clearing‐ und Settlement‐Usancen sowohl im bilateralen Geschäft als auch in Verbindung mit einem Central Counterpart eingegangen. Abschließend werden die Bestrebungen nach einer einheitlichen und effizienten Abwicklung im europäischen Wertpapiermarkt, auch als TARGET‐2‐Securities bekannt, beschrieben.
