Zusammenfassung
Das Thema „Führung und Frauen“ gehört inzwischen zum Kanon der Führungsforschung, betrachtet man die Kapitel der Führungslehrbücher (z.B. Weibler 2012, Northouse 2013, hier Kapitel von Hoyt 2013), die diesem Thema gewidmet sind. Ein genuines Führungsthema ist es eigentlich nicht. Hier finden wir weder eine neue Führungstheorie noch einen Führungsansatz. Vielmehr gehören die Diskussionen um Führung und Frauen zum Thema der Demokratie in den Wirtschaftsorganisationen, weil es sich hier vor allem um die Beteiligung von weiblichen Arbeitnehmern an den Führungspositionen handelt. Immer noch ist eine offensichtliche Geschlechtsdifferenz festzustellen: Es sind vor allem Männer, die in den Führungspositionen der Organisationen zu finden sind. Allen Emanzipationsbewegungen und -bemühungen des letzten Jahrhunderts zum Trotz bleibt der Frauenanteil in den Führungspositionen und damit ihre formelle Beteiligung an der Macht unterhalb den statistisch zu erwartenden 50 Prozent.
