Zusammenfassung
Eine große Rolle beim Verkauf spielt die optimale Informationsversorgung von Kunden oder Interessenten. Dazu muss der Verkaufsaußendienstmitarbeiter auf Kundengespräche bestmöglich vorbereitet sein. Er sollte in der Lage sein, auf der Basis einer umfassenden Dokumentation der bisherigen Anstrengungen die erforderlichen weiteren Schritte planen zu können. Außerdem sollte der Verkaufsaußendienstmitarbeiter die Kunden bzw. Interessenten mit maßgeschneiderten Informationen zu den von ihnen benötigten Produkten oder Lösungen versorgen können. Während früher der Erfolg davon abhing, wie gut der Verkaufsaußendienstmitarbeiter die bisherigen Verkaufsbemühungen in seinem Notizbuch dokumentiert hatte und dem Kunden das relevante Prospektmaterial abliefern konnte, kann heute sowohl die Dokumentation als auch das Bereitstellen von verkaufsunterstützendem Material durch neue Technologien unterstützt werden. Der Zugriff auf das Internet von zu Hause, aber auch von unterwegs erlaubt dabei den Verkäufern eine früher nicht denkbare Informationsversorgung.
