Abstract
Two ideal transmission lines with inductance L´1 and capacitance C´1 in z > 0 and L´2 and C´2 in z < 0, per unit length respectively, that are of infinite length in one direction on the z-axis, are interconnected by a switch S in z= 0 at the time t= 0. For times t < 0 the voltage on the transmission line in z > 0 is U 0 and on the transmission line in z < 0 the voltage is zero.
