Zusammenfassung
Die World Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB) ist ein internationales Bodenklassifikationssystem. Auf der ersten Ebene sind nach einem Bestimmungsschlüssel 32 Bodentypen als Reference Soil Groups (RSGs) definiert. Auf der zweiten Ebene werden dem Namen der RSG Adjektive als Qualifier (Principal and Supplementary Qualifiers) zugeordnet. Derzeit gibt es 185 Qualifier. Für die Klassifikation eines Bodens auf der zweiten Ebene müssen alle zutreffenden Qualifier zum Namen der RSG hinzugefügt werden. Die Definitionen sowohl im Bestimmungsschlüssel zu den RSGs als auch der Qualifier basieren auf diagnostischen Materialien, Eigenschaften und Horizonten.
