Zusammenfassung

Die Therapie von nichttumorbedingten Schmerzen oder so genannten chronisch gutartigen Schmerzen stellt nach wie vor eine große Herausforderung in der Schmerztherapie dar. Während die inzwischen einen festen Platz im Behandlungsregime von Tumorschmerzen einnimmt, wird bei Schmerzen nicht malignen Ursprungs der Einsatz von starken Opioiden kontrovers diskutiert.
