Zusammenfassung

Heute hat die ECP einen festen Platz in der Therapie der erythrodermischen Form der Mycosis fungoides und des Sézary-Syndroms. Bei minimaler Toxizität kann bei Ansprechen auf die Behandlung eine deutliche Steigerung der Lebensqualität erzielt werden. Klinische Beobachtungen zeigen, dass weitere potenzielle Anwendungsgebiete im Bereich von Lymphozyten-mediierten Autoimmun- und entzündlichen Erkrankungen und der Behandlung von Transplantat-Abstoßungsreaktionen liegen. Allerdings sollte die Durchführung größerer kontrollierter Studien bei diesen Behandlungsindikationen gefordert werden.
