This book establishes facts about business cycle synchronisation and convergence in the euro area and beyond as well as examines determinants of cyclical correlation. The identification of factors that are robustly linked to business cycle synchronisation and that are amenable to economic intervention may improve the formulation of policies that foster cyclical convergence.
