Zusammenfassung
Das Innovationspotenzial eines Unternehmens wird maßgeblich von seiner Unternehmenskultur bestimmt. Dies kann mittlerweile als gesicherte Erkenntnis gelten. So konstatiert Ahmed bereits 1998, „the most innovative companies of the future will be dominated by those who have managed to build […] appropriate cultures and climate” (S. 43). Es geht also für Unternehmen in erster Linie nicht darum, sich kurzfristig auf die Entwicklung einer innovativen Dienstleistung bzw. eines neuen Produktes zu fokussieren, sondern langfristig eine Kultur im Unternehmen zu schaffen, die es ermöglicht, Innovationen hervorzubringen.
