Abstract
Pion-pion scattering is investigated in the framework of the Resonating Group Method. The pion is described as a quark-antiquark system. Its wavefunction is expanded in extended harmonic oscillator bases. The kernel of the integro-differential equation describing the relative motion of the pions and the associated local effective pion-pion potential are calculated without any simplifying assumption.
