Abstract
Elastic neutron-deuteron scattering is described. The description is based on a two-baryon coupled-channel potential which allows for ∆-isobar excitation; an effective three-nucleon force results. The prediction for the analyzing power at 10 MeV neutron lab energy does not remove the long-standing and non-understood disagreement with experimental data. The calculation employs a separable expansion of the coupled-channel potential; the quality of the expansion is studied in detail.
