Giant Basilar Artery Bifurcation Aneurysms: 137 Cases

  • Chapter

Abstract

Our early experience with giant intracranial aneurysms, based on 174 patients, was published in 1979. That report included 76 on the carotid and 98 on the vertebral-basilar circulations, whose characteristics, methods of treatment and outcome were described in some detail. The series now number 732 cases, with the addition of 259 anterior and 299 posterior giant aneurysms.
