Multiple Aneurysms: 462 Patients

  • Chapter
Surgery of Vertebrobasilar Aneurysms

Abstract

The number of associated aneurysms in this series is high as most patients had both vertebral and carotid trees studied. The incidence of multiple aneurysms (26.2%) therefore probably approximates the actual figure. The female sex predominated (73%). Hypertension was not more frequent (20%) and the mean age of these patients was three years higher than with single aneurysms.
