Abstract

A script-based and object-oriented model for extending Digital’s CDA/DDIF for multimedia/hypermedia (mm/hm) and other dynamic aspects in distributed environments is presented, hence the term dynamic distributed documents rather than multimedia documents. Based on that model, a prototype for the presentation of multimedia documents has been developed, which is also presented in this paper1.
