Zusammenfassung
Die Einführung hochauflösender Real-Time-Schallköpfe führte zu einer signifikanten Verbesserung der Weichteildiagnostik. Mit Ausnahme der retropharyngealen bzw. retrolaryngealen Strukturen können die cervicalen Weichteile überlagerungsfrei sonographisch dargestellt werden [4]. Sämtliche cervicalen Muskeln wie auch die großen Gefäße (A. carotis, V. jugularis interna, A. vertebralis) können analysiert werden. Von den cervicalen Nerven läßt sich derzeit lediglich der Plexus brachialis routinemäßig mit hochauflösenden Linear Transducer darstellen.
