Cervical Myelopathy Secondary to Lower Cervical Spondylosis in Down’s Patients

Abstract

The incidence of cervical myelopathy in Down’s syndrome patients secondary to abnormalities of the upper cervical spine have been well documented [3]. However, this study indicates that lower cervical spondylosis may prove to be more significant than upper cervical abnormalities as a causative factor of cervical spondylotic myelopathy in this group of patients.
