Zusammenfassung
Ein hoher Anteil von Krankheiten der Haut und ihrer Anhangsgebilde folgt der Mendelschen Vererbung. Da sie der Betrachtung leicht zugänglich sind, kann eine Dokumentation auch leichter als bei den meisten anderen Krankheiten erstellt werden. Hautkrankheiten verlaufen selten tödlich und wirken sich auch verhältnismäßig wenig auf die Reproduktion aus. Infolgedessen läßt sich der Erbmodus meist eindeutig identifizieren. Das trifft auch bei Unkenntnis der genauen Pathologie oder Ätiologie des Krankheitsbildes zu. Es muß daran erinnert werden, daß Hautläsionen äußere Marker für ernstere innere oder generalisierte Krankheiten sein können. Ihre kosmetischen Effekte haben für den Patienten oft mehr Bedeutung als für den Arzt.
