Zusammenfassung

Nach Beendigung der Operation wird lokal Atropin in Salbenoder Tropfenform angewendet und ein Antibiotikum (Gentamycin, 40 mg) parabulbär appliziert. Grundsätzlich ist ein Binoculus während der ersten 24 Stunden erstrebenswert. Bei Kindern und bei älteren Patienten muß in Anbetracht der Möglichkeit von Verwirrtheitszuständen vom Verband des nichtoperierten Auges Abstand genommen werden. Als Analgetikum bevorzuge ich 10 mg Heptadon subkutan. Neben der Schmerzfreiheit wird damit eine intensive Sedierung erzielt. Meist schlafen die Patienten bis zum nächsten Morgen durch. Allerdings sollte zugleich auch ein Antiemetikum verabreicht werden.
