Abstract
The basic requirement for collection and sorting of materials relating to the indication and evaluation of the therapeutic effect of stereotactic treatment consists in a thorough anamnestic investigation and a precise psychopathological analysis at the plane of symptom, syndrome, nosologie or nosographic entity. The information obtained by means of these methods from the patient help to decide to which neurophysiological structures the intervention should be directed and which cluster of symptoms or syndromes should be affected by this intervention. Only a thorough knowledge of the patient’s personality in its cross-section justifies considerations on indications of a stereotactic treatment.
