Abstract

It is a great privilege for me to open the first session of this symposium, and I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to Professor Urbaschek and Professor Lasch for their leadership in its organization. This session is devoted to microbiologic and epidemiologic aspects of gram-negative infections.
