Zusammenfassung

Die Auronglykoside sind Polyhydroxy-benzal-cumaran-3-on-Derivate, die durch das Grundgerüst C6—C3—C6 charakterisiert sind und damit zur Familie der Flavonoidverbindungen gehören. Einem Vorschlag von Bate-Smith und Geissman (10) folgend, wurde für diese Naturstoffe die Bezeichnung Aurone in die Fachliteratur eingeführt. Der Name deutet auf die schöne goldgelbe Farbe der Blüten hin, in denen diese Verbindungen vorkommen und bringt gleichzeitig die Verwandtschaft mit den Flavonen zum Ausdruck, die weniger intensiv gelb gefärbte Pigmente sind und im C3-Molekülteil die gleiche Oxydationsstufe besitzen.
