Application of the Jacobi Integral of Celestial Mechanics to the Terminal Guidance of Space Probes

Abstract

The problem of terminal guidance for a space probe meant to reach the lunar surface is examined by means of the Jacobi Integral of Celestial Mechanics. The motion of the probe in the Earth-Moon system is considered from the point of view of the Restricted Three-Body Problem.
