Abstract
The economic and political importance of agrarian production at this time is certainly not less than it has been in past centuries, and the outcry for „panem et circenses“ is fully valid today as of yore. The distress and the misery of the last war and of the postwar period have again shown us to what extent the existence of Europe is based upon its agrarian production. Although revolutionary movements have occured in our age and time, nothing has been changed in our economy, in the cultural aspects and in all other factors, however fluctuating.
