Zusammenfassung

Hyperthyreosen vermögen die Herztätigkeit sehr stark zu stören, doch sind die Veränderungen weder immer vorhanden noch entwickeln sie sich, wenn vorhanden, stets mit derselben Schnelligkeit und im selben Ausmaß. Manchmal bieten Patienten alle Merkmale einer Hyperthyreose, aber keine Zeichen einer Herzbeteiligung außer einer eventuellen unbedeutenden Tachykardie. Anderseits kann bei Patienten mit einer scheinbar geringgradigen Hyperthyreose innerhalb einer sehr kurzen Zeit eine Herzdilatation und eine Herzinsuffizienz mit Stauung auftreten.
