Zusammenfassung
Die Ohrspeicheldrüse ist die größte der 3 großen Kopfspeicheldrüsen. Der größte Anteil liegt in der Fossa retromandibularis. Ein kleiner Anteil reicht oberflächlich nach ventral, lateral der Mandibula bzw. des M. masseter. Dorso-caudal der Parotis liegen der hintere Bauch des M. digastricus sowie die Stylomuskeln. Weiters reicht ein unterschiedlich großer Anteil medial der Mandibula (retromandibulärer Anteil). In der Drüse verläuft longitudinal, die in die V. jug. interna mündende, V. retromandibularis. Ca. 1 cm cranioventral des Venter posterior des M. digastricus tritt der, aus dem Foramen stylomastoideum kommende, Facialishauptast in die Glandula parotis. Aus klinisch-operativer Sicht wird die Glandula parotis durch den Hauptstamm des N. facialis in einen oberflächlichen und einen tiefen Anteil unterteilt, obwohl keine präformierte anatomische Grenze bzw. Barriere zwischen diesen besteht. Der mediale, tiefe Anteil der Glandula parotis macht 10–20% des Parenchyms aus. Im tiefen Anteil der Drüse verläuft die A. carotis externa. Die A. carotis interna und V. jug. interna verlaufen medial des tiefen Anteils der Parotis im parapharyngealen Raum.
