Zusammenfassung

Die Literatur über Clonazepam zur Langzeitprophylaxe affektiver Erkrankungen ist äußerst spärlich und läßt aufgrund sehr kontroverser Ergebnisse bislang keine endgültige Aussage über den Stellenwert dieser Substanz zu. Chouinard gelangt, von Einzelbeobachtungen ausgehend, zu dem Schluß, daß Clonazepam bei etwa zwei Drittel der nicht ausreichend auf Lithium ansprechenden Patienten zu einer Verminderung der Phasenzahl führt und postuliert eine direkte „synergistische“ Wirkung dieser beiden Substanzen (Chouinard 1985).
