Zusammenfassung

Die Krebserkrankungen nehmen in der westlichen Welt insgesamt gering zu, auch wenn es einzelne Karzinome gibt, deren Inzidenz eine rückläufige Tendenz aufweist. So wird z.B. der Rückgang des Magen- oder des Zervixkarzinoms durch den weiteren Anstieg des Bronchuskarzinoms in einer Globalstatistik maskiert (Austoker 1994a, Travis 1995) (Tabelle 121).
