Abstract
ISO stands for International Standardization Organization, a worldwide federation ofnationalstandardization institutes. The primary goal has always been to reachstandardization and certificationin trade and industry. The idea behind this is to meet with high quality and quality control inproductsby defining and controllingprocesses.The question to discuss here is whether these concepts are applicable to health care, medicine, and neurosurgery in particular.
